Happy Blog Post Tuesday!!!

After an amazing weekend in Chicago (pictures and a blog post coming soon), I’m back in action! Let me just say – Chicago was the perfect getaway and I can’t wait to go back. I’m excited to share more details about my trip with you very soon.

Jumping right into this blog post, We are talking foundation-free makeup. I have about 9 different types of foundations sitting in my makeup collection and so I might not be the biggest advocate for going foundation free, but with Louisiana’s summer and humidity, I realized that I could not stand to have foundation on my face! I always ended up sticky and so frustrated with my makeup. I’ll admit, there are times when I would wear some foundation if I am trying to go the extra mile but lately I have been letting my skin breathe. My technique has worked really well while helping me create a flawless finish without foundation.

The first Step to any flawless finish is to moisturize and apply a primer, I use the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Then, I apply my LA girl pro concealer in Toffee (Highlight) and Mahogany (Contour) underneath my eyes and cheek bones 

I set my concealer with my Laure Mercier Translucent Loose setting powder in Medium Deep 

My final step would be to set everything with my Mac Mineralize SkinFinish Powder. 

P.S. It’s important to mention that your skincare routine plays in role in this process as well! I’m going to do an updated skin routine blog post soon because in the past couple months or so I changed up my regimen and have noticed healthy improvements.
